Happy Monday! I think I’m prob in the minority when I say this, but I ❤️ Mondays! I view them as a fresh start to the week (I prefer starting my weeks on Monday rather than Sunday) and believe Mondays can set the tone for the next several days to come. So, with that being said, let this be a motivational Monday!
In fact, wherever you are, take a moment right now. Really, this will only take a minute! Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths in and out through your nose. Then, set your intention and say it, either in your mind, or out loud. Take a few more deep breaths in and out through your nose and go about your day. <— I just did this, too, right after I typed it out.
I just wanted to stop by real quick and get a post up before I leave for a couple spin classes this morning.
I’ll have a new post up this afternoon talking about the essential oil cinnamon and how it can be so incredibly powerful, in both the best and worst of ways. Keep your eyes on the Facebook page or subscribe to the blog (check the little guy in the right sidebar that says, “Never Miss a Post!” – or if you’re on a mobile device scroll 3/4 the way down and you’ll see the blue box with a surfboard) to see when it’s up.
About the Weekend
Saturday was a great day! Anthony and I started our relaxing weekend with massage appointments at 9am. After that, we went our separate ways. I checked out a new-to-me yoga studio that I’ve been meaning to get to for months (literally) and took a fabulous Yin class, which is exactly what my body needed after a hectic week of teaching. We met at home later that afternoon and had some lunch, worked on our respective websites (you can check his out here), and watched some of The Affair. OMG – we’re hooked! Can’t believe we’re just now in the loop about how great of a show it is.
The evening was totally low key. For dinner I baked salmon, roasted root medley and broccoli (which is true love because I don’t love broccoli at all). We called it an early-ish night.
Sunday morning I had a major kitchen fail. It was my first time trying to swap coconut flour for all purpose flour in any recipe. I’ll let you be the judge of how that turned out based on the pictures below. 😉
I taught class at 11:30, came home and window shopped online for some new bikinis for our upcoming trip (didn’t find anything I loved that wasn’t an arm and a leg, so I didn’t order any) and then we showered and got ready to go to our friends for an early dinner/music making session.
All in all, it was a perfectly relaxing weekend, which is exactly what both of us needed! I’m so thankful I’m feeling much better after being in such a funk for so long at the end of last year (read about it here).
Wherever you are, I hope you have a beautiful and productive Monday! Talk this afternoon!
