You might remember our engagement story from June 2015 when he popped the question on the beach. Life has been
a tiny bit absolutely crazy since then. We weren’t quite sure when or where we wanted to get married and haven’t had time to give it our full attention. The single requirement A continued to have anytime we brought up planning was that he wanted his brother to be present. (Side note: His bro teaches English in Doha, Qatar, and is only in the states July and August each year.) Well, friends, his brother is staying with us for another week before he leaves for the other side of the world again, so we’re just gunna do it!
I’ll certainly recap the deets and post any photos we happen to get. It’s gunna be low-key and more of an elopement-style ceremony/reception. We’re expecting around 20 people. I’m gunna wear a simple white dress. Braids in my hair. No Shoes (or, maybe Rainbow Sandals). Beach. Mexican food. Vino. Can we get anymore SoCal than that?
Anyway, on to the workout! Last week I taught this workout during a 30-minute class and had my students buddy up. They loved it, got in a full body workout + cardio and we’re done after just 30 minutes!
Let me know if you give it a try.
Of course, you can do this without a buddy, it’s just way more fun if you have somebody to sweat with!
Partner A does 16 repetitions of each strength exercise. Partner B does the corresponding cardio exercise for however long it takes Partner A to do 16 reps of her particular exercise.
After Partner A does 16 reps of each of the four strength exercises, and consequently Partner B does four cardio exercises, the Partners Switch Roles.
Ya feel me?
If you’re doing this on your own, do 16 reps of each strength exercise followed by 30-60 seconds of each cardio exercise.
Repeat 3x through.
Hope you’re having a great Monday!
