Until I started heavily researching essential oils, I had no idea there were so many essential oil companies to choose from! You see, I was previously involved with a popular MLM company and while I liked the oils okay, I hated the prices. In addition, the more I started to learn about essential oil safety, the more I started to despise a company for recommending such dangerous practices.
The search was on! In fact, I did an entire blog post (—> read it here) about it in the fall of 2015. I found it extremely difficult and time consuming to find reviews of companies that were not associated with an affiliate link! Don’t get me wrong, I understand bloggers need to earn commissions from affiliates in order to sustain their passion for blogging (and you will find affiliates links around my website), but I didn’t feel comfortable accepting their recommendations, especially when the conclusion generally ended up with one of the two most popular MLM companies.
I stumbled upon an essential oils Facebook group and was so happy to find a post that made me question how to choose an essential oil company. Though I believe it’s since removed, the group also had a file which listed several essential oil companies that came highly recommended. I was so happy to finally have some companies to research!
To be honest, when I first arrived at Nature’s Gift’s website, I was less than impressed. The website itself seemed dated and there was a lot of text. BUT, trying to not judge a book by its cover, I continued my investigation. I soon realized that the founder and owner of the company was the one writing all the text on the website. Her writing voice and authentic conclusions of each oil made me feel like I was talking to somebody I’d known for years! A website that initially turned me off quickly became my go-to source when I was developing posts about essential oils.I placed my first order for just a few oils, and the shipping was super fast! I’m talking like maybe 3 days from TN to CA? Each bottle was individually wrapped in a protective layer, and to my surprise, I received samples! I was so impressed with my experience so far, and was so excited to crack a bottle open and take whiff.
They smelled (still do smell) heavenly!
I compared two of my favorite essential oils (lavender and ylang ylang) with different company’s same oils (which I already had), and the difference was overwhelming in the best way! I’d never smelt a more lovely ylang ylang and the lavender won me over. I was also surprised and impressed with how pleasing one of Nature’s Gift’s signature blends, Focus, smelled.
Obviously, I placed another order. 😉
I got several staples and tried a few new-to-me oils, including tangerine, which has a perfect bright and cheery scent.
I appreciate that I can interact directly with Nature’s Gift’s owner on their company Facebook page, Essential Learning, and ask questions about essential oil usage.
This post is in no way sponsored, and I do not have an affiliate account with Nature’s Gift! I genuinely love their products and business practices and am happy to say I’ll be a customer for years to come!
